Celebrating Measured Excellence in Legal Psychedelic Care
At Althea, we believe healing should be intentional, trusted, and measurable. As access to psilocybin therapy expands, so does the need for clarity about what truly works for participants, for practitioners, and for the future of the field.
That’s why we’re proud to launch the inaugural Psilocybin Outcomes Awards. It is a new program recognizing facilitators and centers who are delivering exceptional outcomes in legal psilocybin care. 2025 Awardees are limited to Oregon. (But we’re looking forward to expanding the pool in 2026 to Colorado as that program starts measuring outcomes!)
These awards are grounded not in opinion or hype, but in real participant-reported data: improvements in mental health, experiences of mystical insight, feelings of safety, and trust in the people guiding the journey.
Measuring Psilocybin Outcomes
Althea’s platform gives facilitators and centers the ability to collect and track outcomes with their clients. When a participant is scheduled for a session, they are automatically invited to complete a series of evidence-based, research-backed questionnaires.
Measuring outcomes offers valuable insights and helps establish professional credibility grounded in participant experience. Results of these assessments are shared with facilitators, centers, and their clients to be used to guide effective integration and understand client feedback.
2025 Psilocybin Outcomes Award Categories
Excellence in Depression Relief
This distinction honors the facilitator and service center whose clients experienced the greatest impact in the reduction in depressive symptoms, as measured by the PHQ-9.
Awardees in this category exemplify what it means to support meaningful, measurable healing through safe and professional psychedelic care.
Anxiety Alleviation Leader
This award recognizes the facilitator and service center whose clients reported the most significant reduction in anxiety symptoms, as measured by the GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale).
The Anxiety Alleviation Leader distinction reflects the power of safe, intentional psychedelic facilitation to help clients find calm, clarity, and emotional ease.
Well-Being Improvement Award
This recognition is awarded to the facilitator whose clients reported the greatest increase in overall well-being, as measured by the WHO-5 Well-Being Index.
The Well-Being Improvement award highlights those practitioners who not only reduce symptoms—but help clients reclaim a deeper sense of joy, energy, and presence in their lives.
Mystical Catalyst Award
This award honors the facilitator or service center whose clients reported the most profound and meaningful altered states of consciousness, as measured by the MEQ-30 (Mystical Experience Questionnaire). Mystical experiences, as measured by this scale, have been shown to be correlated with positive therapeutic outcomes.
The Mystical Catalyst award recognizes those who hold space with intention, presence, and care—supporting journeys that leave a lasting spiritual and psychological imprint.
Client Choice Award
This award is presented to facilitators who received the strongest endorsements from their clients, based on a two-week post-session questionnaire evaluating the experience.
The Client Choice Award celebrates facilitators highly valued by those they serve—the guides who leave a lasting impression of trust, empathy, and transformation.
Most Trusted Facilitators
This award honors service centers whose facilitator teams earned the highest average client recommendation ratings. This distinction reflects both the quality and consistency of care delivered across a center’s practitioners.
Althea’s platform aggregates these ratings to identify centers where trust, professionalism, and human connection are deeply embedded in the culture of facilitation.
The Most Trusted Facilitators award celebrates centers that exemplify collaborative excellence—creating environments where participants feel truly safe, seen, and supported.
Safe Passage Award
This award honors the facilitator or service center whose clients reported the strongest sense of safety throughout their psilocybin experience.
The Safe Passage Award recognizes those who provide not just a service, but a sanctuary—creating containers where trust, care, and professionalism allow deep healing to unfold.
