Integration

Integration is the process of making sense of a psychedelic experience after it ends, translating what surfaced during a session into meaningful shifts in behavior, relationships, and self-understanding. Psilocybin appears to temporarily increase the brain’s capacity to form new neural connections, a window of heightened neuroplasticity that research suggests stays open for days to weeks post-session. Structured integration work, through journaling, conversation, or guided support, helps put that window to use before it closes.

Althea offers a free monthly integration circle open to anyone who has experienced psychedelics. Learn more here.
